ONE SKY - A CELEBRATION OF ART & MUSIC JULY 25-27, 2008

I have a confession to make. I've lived in Washington State for about 6 1/2 years and have never been to the coastline. Between that, the line up, and a really cool cause, I'm completely looking forward to performing (and getting in some pics for sure) at this.

A wise man once said (Live Recording)

Last night I did a live recording (direct to mixing board) of one of the tracks I've been performing this summer. I'm also testing out what is probably about to become my favorite music sharing site SoundCloud. For more info on SoundCloud check out this brief article at Webware.com. I've been dying to fool around with SC for awhile. As a side note, I never realized how dark and broody this track was until I listened to the recording. Hope that's cool with y'awl. I can't remember what was up with my mood when I wrote it. Anyway, hope ya dig. Much more stuff to come.

Update #2: I've added a download link courtesy of last.fm
Update #1: SoundCloud is still in private beta so I don't think I can make a download link yet. I'll dig around and let you know when a download link is available.

My "Hello World" post

If you're reading this it means that you've stumbled on to my little summer project. Over the winter I bought a new hard drive in an effort archive all this data I had scattered around. In the process of doing that I began to discover a bunch of random tracks that I had forgotten even existed. So rather than letting them whither away in obscurity on some backup drive that I'll never touch again I wanted to at least start putting them online somewhere.

So here we are. What's up right now is in its infancy. The only reason its live right now is to pressure me into getting out of the conceptual stage with this. As I work out stuff like file hosting, etc. I'll have tons of free downloads of older stuff, newer stuff, live stuff, whatever.

For now you can check out the last.fm radio playlist to the right for a collection of some of my fav compostions from the past 5 or 6 years. I'm still working out some of the bugs so a few of the tracks aren't playing but this is all beta. Through out the summer you'll see everything start to take shape. Soon I'll make everything currently on the playlist available as a download and I'll be writing a LOT more stuff over the next year just for the blog (yeah, I hate that word too.)

Thanks for taking the time to read this. -m.0

Event Review: Tournament of Champions

Thanks to Dave Matthews for the photos and Catherine Jade for the text.

One down two more to go: June 13-15 Photosynthesis 1.0

Huge thanks to the Innerflight crew for throwing such an amazing party on Saturday and an even bigger thank you for letting me perform. The biggest thanks though to everyone in attendance. That was one for the memory banks.

For some reason I got it in my head that it would be cool to play about 3 gigs this summer and then go back into hibernation.:) Here's gig number 2:
